Primary Care Group in this area is not physician or patient friendly. Culture is hyper-corporate; overly focused on irrelevant metrics, unrelated to patient care. Attitude toward physicians disrespectful, condescending, and belittling, especially toward female docs and docs with experience. Unwilling to provide adequate staffing, leaving physicians’ licenses at risk and at high liability. Not responsive to patient care concerns. No clinical oversight. Overall, not conducive environment to caring for patients-just concerned with extracting as much as possible from their doctors, leaving them burnt out. Avoid.
I've worked at Houston Methodist for the last 3 years. I've had a great experience and have grown tremendously professionally. It has been been a pleasure to a part of this institution, and it's the preoperative team.
