Executive Training Coordinator

"Other than the yearly layoffs, this is a very good company to work for. Advancement opportunities, compensation, benefits, and support are all there."

Systems Analyst

Field Services Leader

What do you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"It was a good experience working with an international company. I had a chance to get training in Six Sigma and received my Green Belt certification."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I would let them know that Honeywell sees employees as a commodity. Employees should make a company money, but a large company like Honeywell should provide training and better leadership to management when they are put into positions that they are moved to without any experience in that position. Make sure the position they are hiring you for is the position and responsibilities they are going to have you performing. Ask lots of questions about what they expect of you and if the position they are putting you in is a long-term job. Think hard if you are thinking about leaving a job with longevity."

What don't you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I was hired as a field service leader and the very first day was put in the position as branch manager. I was not allowed enough time to learn the operation of the company. I was laid off due to reduction in work force after leaving a seventeen year job. For a large company you would think a company would have more than a 12-month foresight of their company finances and not hire a person out of guess work on position needs, especially out of a 17-year position."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should have a longer view of each branch financial needs as far as expenses. They should give an employee more time to adjust to positions in management. If they need branch managers, they should hire branch managers and not bring personnel in as field service leaders and put them in positions they are trained to handle. Allow someone at least two years to train and adjust to a management position. If you are looking for a job that is stable you may want to look elsewhere. You may have to relocate to keep your job."

Senior Sales Representative

"They were slow to respond to customers."

Engineer

"For a contractor without benefits, it was not the job I wanted, but with benefits I would do it again."

What do you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I was making a good, competitive salary with adequate benefits."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If they tell you the project will last a year, make sure the contract says they will pay you for the duration."

What don't you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I wasn't doing the job for which I was most qualified."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure you have all the funding in place to finish a project before you begin the project."

Regional Sales Manager

"I learned a lot."

Customer Service Representative

"Good, stable workplace."

Business Development Manager

"Honeywell is a great company; however, the emphasis on the sensing and control group I questioned."

What do you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I liked the great training and learning experiences. The leadership in place used to be excellent."

What don't you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I disliked the leadership."

Technical Support Specialist

"Honeywell is too large of a company to focus on the the customer."

What do you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"I liked training my team on products and application."

What don't you like about working at Honeywell Technology Solutions?

"If you buy a company for its product and customer base, follow through to keep that customer base."
