2.3I am going on 4 years of employment as a Quality Analysis II. Coming from medical device manufacturing has made the transition very difficult. The culture shock was quit intense. At the facility where I work, it has always appeared that management is disconnected from the production employees. It's very difficult to move up within the company and management seems to be more concerned about themselves and keeping their matrix green than helping value added employees grow in their career. They are very big on HOS which follows the mindset of keeping the matrix green, maintaining process control, but in reality, it's not. It just appears to be. Health insurance is basically Major Medical with premium higher than I have ever paid in all my years of working. This year they took the vision care away and started charging employees if they desire to have it. The worker bees (heart of the company) never get the credit they deserve, all while the CEO is raking in millions of dollars in salary and bonuses while last year they put a hold on raises across the board.
3.5I am a victim of two acquisitions, going from a company with 27 employees and revenues of $6MM to a company of 1500 employees and revenues of $450MM to a company of +300,000 employees and revenues of $39Billion, and in each case, for me personally and for our product, the circumstances got worse. Honeywell is a technology company, and if you're a technical person it can be a great place to work. For a true salesman, unless you are in a division that compensates for your efforts with commission, you have to understand that you have limited ability to control your financial destiny, and that you are basically a technical sales support person. I think it could be a great place to start a career and then climb the ladder within if desired or take the experiences and move on to another company
4.6This is one of the best companies I have ever worked for in the aerospace industry. I am just a contractor for Honeywell but, as such I have never been treated better by working professionals.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a great environment to work.
