What do you like about working at Hal Hays Construction?

"Still new here. Only a couple months in, but I love it. I don't understand a lot of the negative reviews. Like I said I have only been here for 2 mnths but I think its good. My wife has some health issues and the benefits package is good. I generally get good support and the Government teams like working with us, here at 29 palms at least. I like that the owner of the company comes out to the job quite a bit to see us."

"Be prepared to work hard. It's a really good place to work for."

What don't you like about working at Hal Hays Construction?

"They weren't kidding in the interview when they said they were lean and mean. I get emails from 4 in the morning until midnight, which isn't a bad thing. it's just a lot of work, but if you enjoy your job then it's great."

"Keep winning jobs. We have a lot of people to keep employed."

"Everything! Team environment! Support! GREAT Benefits! Trust! Freedom! Growth!I have known of this company for the last 20 years. I have watched it grow. It is within the last 2 years that I made the decision to join the team. It is very apparent to me that the poor review/ratings were posted by FORMER Employees. Every objective employee knows that there is a reason you were let go. What you might state a negative, I see as a positive. YES, they do have a high turnover rate; due to the fact that the boss has an uncanny ability to spot the lazy, and is not afraid to terminate it for the betterment of the TEAM. Basically, if you are not afraid to work, you will do great in this enviroment!There is a reason that the company has thrived thus far!"

"HHCI is one of the few companies has built their company on core values. I love the fact that Hal Hays Construction has an extensive background with the completion of so many successful projects. I have been given so many growth opportunities with the company and have been given a chance to demonstrate my strengths and be part of a great team."

"I would recommend that anyone who is interested in interviewing for this company not take into consideration any of the negative comments left on this website by hostile employees who no longer work for HHCI. Please be prepared for a trustworthy company that takes pride in everything that they do."

"To be honest, I do not have any feedback to leave in this section. I love my job and the company that I work for. I am proud to say that I work for HHCI and look forward to going to work everyday."

"The Management Team at HHCI is a strong team of experienced personnel who continue to build the company and work towards the best interests of the company. I recommend that they continue to analyze the departments and evaluate the needs of the company as they have done."

"It seems I am a little late hitting this website. I've been here 4 years, and only heard about it recently when I started hanging out in the office. This is going to be a very positive review. As far as I am concerned, I am a very young guy, and Hal personally has given me many opportunities to move up."

"I have been here for about 6 months now. I had initial reservations about joining the HHCI team after reading this website. I actually set a 6 month reminder for myself to write this review, good or bad, when the time came. Thus far, my time at Hal Hays Construction has been very good. I am in a support capacity for the project managers. We tend to get very swamped and spread thin. I can see that some people are overly stressed out. All-in-all as a younger person looking to grow, I am excited."

"Like any company you work for, it has its flaws. As a loyal employee with good ethics, it falls on the HHCI team to make this a better place and to address any deficiencies. I am sure all comments on this site have some form of truth but all in all if you work hard, it is not a bad place to work. HHCI is not for everyone, that is correct. You either have what it takes to work here or you don't. In my time here I feel I have been treated well and and I feel that if you have something bad to say about the way you were treated, it is due to lacking what was needed to grow within the company.
