"I hired into Pearless (Grundfos) in September of 2018. A couple of weeks in they announced there was going to be a major restructuring. I also found that the company was in serious financial distress. Many people began to leave. I decided to stay to make an impact in bringing the company back to a stable operating condition. It is now I have decided that I am not sure of the future of the Pearless site. Thus, I have begun my search."

"Grundfos takes care of it's employees when they can. They are also very strong on sustainability."

"Currently, there are minimum opportunities for advancement at my level"

"Management for the most part does a good job. Sometimes they loose focus on the core values."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask who the manager is, and how long he has been in that position. (Managers tend to be young people who's been stepping on everything to get where they are). DO NOT EVER sign the work contract if it is not good or you have the slightest doubt. i.e. if the company wants to send you to another country but they do not pay relocation, and only pay relocation back to Denmark if they fire you i.e. within 20 months... you can be sure they will fire you 21 months later, and will never ever pay you a dime for relocation. They will let you strand where ever they have sent you."

What don't you like about working at Grundfos?

"They fire people whose wife comes down with cancer. They treat people with no respect, where it's like people have to be happy to be allowed to work for Grundfos. They see employees as liability. They say they would never treat people differently, yet, they send your next door colleague, who is less competent on MBA courses, etc. just because he is good at politics. There is no management, i.e. it's very common too, to have 4-5 bosses over a period of only 2 years. They fire some 5000 people during recesion, and yet, they all travel business class, and stay in 5 star hotels. They proudly announce in the news that they came out of Q1 and Q2 successfully, but how can they be proud of that, having just fired 5000 people"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Well, they should go on a management course, however, they would never become good leaders at all, because their integrity is not there, and will never be there, that is something one is born and brought up with, not something you learn on a 2 weeks course! To the owners of Grundfos, please let some competent CEO's, and Presidents run the show, the company will be much more successful. Please treat your employees with some respect, and pay them what they and their position is worth, instead of putting them on a survival salary only. AND, when reloacting people, please pay for their relocation both ways! and when sending employees to other countries, please pay insurance for the WHOLE family instead of only for the employee...."
