"I loved my job and the company Outstanding with the exception of management change to a service manager that has never worked in sales trying to run sales as a service team....total fail! 8 out of 11 top Account Manager have left....Been bullied out. the new team the new manager has in place is failing....sad!"

"Very challenging environment you have to love industrial sales and have a mechanical mind set."

"change of management to service manager running sales with no experience in sales...."

"RSM should have sales experience and bulling does not work"

"Be very positive and sell the interviewer and dont be afraid to ask for a next step."

"The compensation plan makes it nearly impossible to make 6 figures."

"My suggestions would be less of a micro management attitude and pr0vide more mentors."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Great place to work on a short term basis. If you are good at selling you will find that you will eventually have to leave. The company will have you competing with yourself and you will have to resign. Grainger continues to ask for higher and higher sales dollars with less and less accounts. They eventually set you up for failure. Especially those that acquire President's Club status!"

What don't you like about working at Grainger Industrial Supply?

"The top 1% of the sales people are eventually set up for failure and have to leave the company. After President Club, there is really no where to go, but leave the company, one is competing with oneself and is set up for failure."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Reward tenure and give intentives to loyal employees that stay around through the good and bad times. Take better care of tenured employees and stop setting them up for failure and no alternative than to exit the company while on top."
