"Tips for interview would be very positive with your communication and be armed with up-to-date software use, especially if one is going to interview for a management position."

"Having to work out of Irvine office in lieu of Riverside office and eventually being laid off."

"Possibly more communication between production staff and upper management, up and down the chain of command."

"Office location is close to home, firendly atmosphere, competitive salary"

"Definately interview for potential position, but keep all options open."

What don't you like about working at gkkworks?

"Office location may potentially close in which case I'd have to deal with a long commute. Not to encouraging at all. Hours were recently cut back as there are no projects. Doesn't seem to be much push to get more work for this office location."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Encourage more training of newer employees on computer related information. Encourage more team coordination. Encourage better communication between all office locations."

"Although there have to be rules it's important to encourage individual thinking: it's a good trait to have in business"

"Be direct, don't gild the lily and if you don't understand a question, ask to have it explained."

What don't you like about working at gkkworks?

"The resources a company has usually allows greater competition for jobs and more resources to complete said job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Think outside the box and be willing to listen to employees' suggestions as part of the process of decision making."

"gave me great freedom in selecting my project targets and often allowed me to make teams the way I wanted if successful"

"Ask exactly who you will be reporting to and what will be your measurable targets personally that define your success."

What don't you like about working at gkkworks?

"seemed to be too scattered in marketing targets we also were limited to only going after public work. While every year there were personal reviews the targets given in the review were not the same targets at the end of the year. For instance if your target was to participate and land two new design build projects, if you met your personal targets you were not rewarded because others in the company did not meet theirs. Even group targets were ignored. All employees were asked to take salary cutbacks and then the company went out and purchased another company with that money. After a year that money was not returned."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"better managemet direction from middle management. There was too much job turn over to understand the nature of the direction you were receiving."

What do you like about working at gkkworks?

"GKKworks bought out Syska Hennessy, this was a good thing; GKKworks was OK to work for and I wish I was still working for them but in a different department."

What don't you like about working at gkkworks?

"GKKworks bought out Syska Hennessy GKK needs to look at the upper management and remove the one that lives in Chicago, he has no managment skills and hss very bad communications with people. They also need to improve the link between the office and the field, give more support by communicating also following up with the government when they promise something and follow the request that the Navy has requested."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"For the manager that lives in Chicago; limit him to only one or two states to run projects also keep him in one department like army marine-cor not three different government agencies like NAVFAC, NASA, & army marine cor. Also give some Kudos to the people that have successful projects and have outstanding reviews from the government. I had four reviews all outstanding and not once did I get a good job from this company manager...what I did get was laid off because of lack of work in the NAVFAC department"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Cut down on large meetings and have smaller ones instead to focus on quality, deadlines."

"The type of projects available."

"Be aware that if you are interviewing, if they are hiring you to hit the top 5 hiring firm or not. If they are, then you are gone within 6 months."

What don't you like about working at gkkworks?

"The coporation is very self centered and type A. Company has NO loyalty to enployee."

"Loyalty. Honesty and fairness."
