"1: Nepotism: The amount of work you are expected to complete given the amount of time is insufferable. Don't hit your time, and management will breathe down your neck. There are also people who never hit their times, but don't EVER get flack for it since they're buddy buddy with upper management. 2: Virtually no training: The amount of time quoted from most other employees to get comfortably good at their programming tool is about a year to a year and a half. They start you with 2-3 hours sessions, pat you on the back and send you on your way. Everything else is unspokenly your problem that you need to figure out. 3: Communication: Horrendous. Most information (like your performance) spreads through gossip. Managers will ask people what they think about an employee instead of just personally reviewing their work, which allows supervisors to be able to throw anyone they do not like under the bus with their being almost nothing you can do about it. Not all supervisors do this, but find yourself in a disagreement or a misunderstanding with one of them and expect, management to not have a high opinion of you no matter what you do. 4: Negative cliques. Everyone has friends, and that's great. Gex has groups of people who do nothing but bond over complaining about people or pointing the finger at people who have messed up (like none of them have before). 5: If you struggle and they don't like you, most will just watch you crash and burn and asking for help is just another way for employees to gossip about your "incompetence.""
