What do you like about working at The Gap?
"The education in merchandising, business acumen and product knowledge was some of the best a person can receive. It was a fast-paced location that demanded results, so I was happy to show the capability to thrive here. My gained knowledge from here is immeasurable and I was doing projects and tasks that I loved doing every day."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Show your passion for creativity and your knowledge of business analysis and how that affects decision making because that is a key factor here."
What don't you like about working at The Gap?
"I took the job strictly for experience, knowing I was going to be taking a huge pay cut in return, so I knew I was going to have to relocate or grow in the company once I was thoroughly trained here. Also, I decided that San Francisco was great for one year, but I missed southern California."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management was great, but promoting from within could be looked at more closely- there were a lot of talented associates who could have been very beneficial if given more opportunity and recognition."
