Submit a Review"It's great to create systems and worlds that can be shared by millions of people worldwide, but it's difficult to feel needed in most workplaces - everyone thinks they can be a game designer, so game designers aren't really viewed as vital."
"Game design is a fantastic career for a creative mind. It requires a lot of out of the box thinking and execution. It's what I love the most about it. They don't really mention the acres of required paperwork that it usually entails, but it's very handle-able."
"We get to make people happy, especially we can have the opportunity to bring smiles in the kids' faces. That is worth more than any other thing in the world. We can create an environment where the players can live their dream without hurting others or disturbing others."
"I absolutely LOVE being a Game Designer. I love being able to think about how my audience will experience a game, and also the learning curve it takes to help people of different backgrounds and training to understand the vision and goal of a game. It's not easy but very fulfilling."
"There is nothing like making people happy by playing games. Watching kids play together, listening to their excitement, designing games is the best way to discover humanity."
"I generally love to create things, and design allows me to do so."
"I absolutely love being a game designer but the drawback is it is always difficult to get my foot in the door of a company to actually find work. It is a competitive and tough market to break into no matter how skilled you are."
"I love being a Game Designer is because I get to make all the people happy regardless they are older than me or younger than me. The only thing I hate is there is no book which can actually teach you game design as it is. The industry keeps on changing but people always ask for a experienced designer of that technology immediately."
"I started off as an artist and since I'm finishing my degree in game programming I've been doing that too. Learning both has made possible to design and program my own game with no help. Time consuming of course but very helpful when applying for work."

"The company has a very relaxed atmosphere and makes real games for real gamers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared for the craziest group interview ever. Practice telling stories in silly voices using Buddha and Cthulhu statues, and drawing googly eyes on a white board."
What don't you like about working at Simutronics Corp.?
"The management style was a very weird mix of hands on and hands off, always at the most inopportune time."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Trust your employees- you hired them for a reason. Pick a hat and wear it, and let the people on your payroll wear the rest of the hats. You try to do it all, but what ends up happening is the few vital things that need doing can't be done effectively."
