"I worked for G4S for a few summers, and although they were pretty bad every year this year they were just mind numbingly awful. My manager was new and did not know what he was doing and could not control the team. The biggest issue for me though was that they did not set up my online portal account which showed my shifts and pay until I was halfway through working for them even though I asked about it every morning. The manager consistently forgot to sign members of our team in meaning our shifts didn't show up online and we had to convince the office we had been at work. My shifts and hours were entered incorrectly for almost every day, and I went to the office (would have to use up my small break time doing this) every other day to tell them my shifts were still wrong, and explain exactly what they were. They were still wrong when I finished the job, looking like I was going to be massively underpaid. And in the end I was underpaid by about £200 but I had put so much effort into emailing and phoning with no success that I gave up. I couldn't have made it more clear to the office team what shifts I had done and how much I was owed for my hours and they seemed to have forgotten every time I asked them about it and I'd have to start all over from the beginning about what days and hours I worked. Never again G4S. Never. Again."

"I have worked for G4S since 2015. I saw a variety of client sites and was able to quickly progress. The company itself is Global which can provide for many opportunities. Some of the primary issues that they have are that the local branches seem to be stretched thin, having to do a lot of jobs within one role, and that compensation is not great in the security world."
