"Very good learning experience."
What do you like about working at Frito Lay?
"What do I like about Frito-Lay Not much! They work you to death and never let you take a personal day when you're sick. Hard work and extra effort get unnoticed 99% of the time. You're pushed to the point of exhaustion by working very early mornings to late afternoons. Some days I'd start at 4 am and be done at 8:30 at night and that was after I was working there for many years and was able to get faster at the job. The money's good but not worth selling your soul over."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Stop... don't... please. Go work somewhere else. It's not worth it."
What don't you like about working at Frito Lay?
"Great place to work if your single and have no family or life. The money is actually decent but in order to make more your will have to work 15+ hour days and very early mornings. The list goes on and on why I didn't like it there. Think about why people organize unions and why work regulations were set and you'll get and idea on the kind of company Frito is. The only thing that matters when you work at Frito-Lay is that the stock goes up in the first quarter to please the stock holders and that you show up every day and work through your days off. Don't work for Frito-lay or Pepsi. If you want to get into food sales work for a bread company they treat you better!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Scrap whatever you think is working and start over. What ever looks good on paper doesn't translate to real life."
