"This is a good company to work for."

"I have worked with Fortis College in the capacity of Associate Dean since this past January. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the college has had to shut it's doors indefinitely. Fortis provides an opportunity for training in the trades, where I specialized in all the HVAC and Welding/Metals instruction programs."

"I've enjoyed working with many outstanding professionals during my 2.5 years at Fortis. It's sad to see the IT programs go away but I'm sure Fortis will do fine with their medical programs."

"There is no room for advancement or no employee recognition"

"The management team needs to be more employee oriented, organized and they have no means of communication"

"I had a good team of people to manage. I treated them with respect and they did the same in return"

"Be assertive, confident. Be on time for interview, If you don't know the answer to a question, be honest about it."

What don't you like about working at Fortis College?

"I felt the company had some programs that were not wanted in the work force. And sometimes Corporate would micro manage."

"Set goals for the schools and let employees do what they are trained to do"

"It is an educational facility and I love the environment and it's challenges, regardless I like students and co-workers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"There is no 401k, no pay raises for one year. Although, paying top money is against their culture, ask for more and since they are in need, they will pay top salaries."

What don't you like about working at Fortis College?

"Campus President would show-up for work maximum 3 days a week, I visited with his boss(regional VP)two times in 16 months, so no campus visits. Good and honest work was not rewarded."

"Change lazy managers and reward honest, professional, and hard working EDUCATORS."
