FTN financial provides investment services, balance sheet management and correspondent services from its offices in the United States, Hong Kong and Japan.

The company was founded as the First National Bank of Memphis by Frank S. Davis in 1864. The bank grew in the following decades and opened its first suburban branch in 1942. Within the next decade, seven more branches were added. In 1969, the First National Holding Company was organized. It changed its name to First Horizon National in 2004.
