The 1985 acquisition of several United States'' warehouse and transportation management companies by National Freight Consortium (NFC) resulted in a new company re-branded as Exel Logistics. The Ohio location continues as headquarters for North and South American operations.

Exel performs as a supply chain manager. The company provides solutions ranging from the design and implementation of a supply chain to reverse logistics. Services include warehousing and movement of goods.
