"I was laid off because the industry was poor and the market is still a little leary."

What do you like about working at First American Title?
"I loved being able to greet customers and help them with what they needed. I loved the other employees that I worked with. It was a usually fun environment. I loved seeing the faces of people that just signed the papers for their new house. They were so excited! I enjoy bringing some part of that to them."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared to learn and strive for the top. In this business you need to know what you are doing because it can effect many people and their lives."
What don't you like about working at First American Title?
"I did not like the way that my supervisor treated myself or the other employees. It was as if she was trying to make us feel horrible about everything we did. She would make fun of us and tease us through out the day and also in front of other clients. She was unprofessional."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would try to put my supervisor through some training classes to help her with her interaction with fellow employees. She definitely knew her job. She was a great escrow officer, just needed some help with how she treated people around her."
What do you like about working at Capital Funding?
"I was able to try out new positions in other departments to see where I would be more happy. To see what I wanted to do and work in."

"I loved working at Chicago title because it was a very bussy period, the clients, real estate agents, co-workers... great experience."

"more meetings with employees to keep up with any new things/how the company is doing"

"I was a contractor and I liked the work I was doing."

"The parent company Fidelity Title would instigate a layoff at will."

"This was by far the best experience I have had in this industry. The workplace was professional, learning was encouraged and support was genuine."

"Be honest and upfront. You must be able to handle the workload."

"There was a great deal of pressure at times but over all it was a very good experience."

"That they would continue to care and support their staff."

"I loved everyone that I worked with, and I definately understoon the purpose of my job."

"Don't have negative things to say about previous employers."
What don't you like about working at First American Title?
"When the market is down, jobs have to go...as an assitant it was a little scary to wonder if I was the next one cut."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My managers were fabulous, but I think that sometimes their managers were a little unrealistic as to what outcomes could be for certain situations."
