"I worked at Ericsson for three years. They are Jekyl & Hyde when it comes to their employees. On the one hand, their benefits are exceptional. Even though their pay scale is merely average, the benefits make the total compensation worth working there. On the other hand, they lay off 10% of their workforce every March. If you don't move up or around, you have a pretty good chance of losing your job after a few years. (Five years is a long time with this company.)"
"Ericsson has a very strong position in the market supporting various US Operators (i.e. AT&T, Verizon, Sprint) in deploying equipment and services which will provide subscribers/consumers the great wireless and data experience."
"Ericsson is awesome and I would recommend it to others as a slick place to work."
"I worked with this company for a year and got laid off. I was working on the Sprint network vision project. They are outsourcing a lot and are very disorganized. I did learn a lot from my seniors and supervisors. Great people to work with, very helpful. Overall company structure is kind of poor. though I did learn a lot on my own."
"It's a good old established company."
"I worked for Ericsson, and this place simply did not meet my expectations for professional nor personal growth. I therefore decided to leave to seek opportunities somewhere else."
"Ericsson is a really good company to work for. The office in which I am located once was really good and thriving but now has a lot of the work being transferred to other offices."
"I worked for Ericsson for 4 years. The experience was great and I appreciate the opportunity given to work for a major global company. The work environment is great, but some management decisions are bringing this down.Hopefully things change up so no more people lose their jobs."
"I am currently contracting for Ericsson as a Technical Support Engineer in their network operations center. Ericsson manages Sprint's network. I am part of Tier II - WDI (Wireless Data Infrastructure). We troubleshoot issues on the network backbone, supporting call data network operations (CDNO), packet data network operations (PDNO), and packet data network security infrastructure (PDNSI). Sadly our group is being outsourced to Mexico in a few months."
