"We can learn a lot from the company."
"As an Engineering Intern you are able to use your knowledge you received in college and actually apply them to the real world. An an intern you are mentored by someone who has already had experience and you can gain knowledge from them."
"I have had a great time with my internships, but am ready to move on. The experience gained has prepared me well for my career in the future."
"You get to see the product of your hard work at the end. So far, being a Front-End Engineer is great. If you can get some back-end stuff to do at the same time, its even better. Makes you a well rounded Web Developer."
"Everything. I love on-going learning, I believe that's the underlining reason why I chose to be an engineer."
"The company was great but I do not enjoy working in a manufacturing setting. I did enjoy this manufacturing plant more than more industrialized ones like HVAC plants. They treated their interns very well. They had events that were specific to Covidien and others that partnered up with interns from other companies in the area.Overall, if you enjoy manufacturing, I would highly recommend interning here."
"Being an intern is necessary for the ability of taking responsibility. But if you are an intern, most companies do not pay for your work hours."
"Overall, I like this job. Nothing I hate except the customer didn't pay."
"Working along the other application engineers only encouraged me to get to know more about all of their products and how they work. We've helped so many installers troubleshoot and design systems and it's fun. They have PLCs to assist with the automation of your system, but take a hands off approach to programming them. On the other hand, if you have any question about them, the engineers know it inside and out!"
"I love learning new things. At Amazon, I worked on developing a web application using Ruby on Rails. Being able to design and develop the application from top to bottom was challenging and fun. I never had a boring day as an SDE even if I was only an intern. I hope to be able to continue working as an SDE because it's fun and challenging."
"I enjoyed the scope of work and the flexible hours, as a student intern. I did not enjoy the level of stress, the office location or environment quality."
"I loved that it was very new to me. I came in looking for a lot of hands on work but I was given more desk work than anything. This position also gave me the opportunity to complete all task in the marketing department that was available for an intern to complete. I disliked the small amount of work they had available for me to do."
"It was great being able to observe the many aspects of manufacturing and understanding the flow of processes. One difficult aspect was finding the best solution among many choices."
"The best part is I got to learn alot about RF and wireless networks in realtime environment. This gave me very good exposure to the basic aspects in RF and wireless networks."
"We had to be rotated with 3 different teams which is kind of plus point as well as negative aspect. Plus point in the sense we will get opportunity to learn new technology, bad aspect in the sense we couldn't concentrate in one field."
