"Hardware design, PCB design, Assembly Language programming, Building Prototypes, Fixing problems."

"Show confidence, give examples of how your skills will apply to the position."
What don't you like about working at Niles Audio?
"Some projects were slow to get approval to get started."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They should have a better approval process for new product development."
What do you like about working at BlackRock?
"Good pay and benefits, some great people, and interesting projects from time to time."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Ask about the budget. Maybe your department is lucky and can afford to put the right tools and people in the right place. Grill the people hiring on what you need to do to make the bosses look good, possible career paths, and where the company is going overall."
What don't you like about working at BlackRock?
"It's a challenge to get the proper system and tools in place with the budget and time constraints. It's unrealistic for a quality job to be done quickly, let alone cheaply. For an organization that is the largest asset manager in the world, it sometimes seems as if our budget is peanuts. There seems to be more of a focus on saving costs than putting the right people and the right equipment in the right place."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Focus more on retaining talent, training, and giving the right tools and systems to employees. Focus less on mergers and acquisitions, extreme savings, and get rid of useless/toxic employees."
What do you like about working at AT&T?
"It was fascinating work with cutting-edge technology (for its time)."
What don't you like about working at AT&T?
"I didn't like the distance of my drive to work - I had to commute from Salem to Radford."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Bring the manufacturing jobs back to the United States."

"Young, dynamic engineers in the EADP (Engineering Associate Development Program) program."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Again, its been many years since I worked there - would recommend the candidates discuss their skills, career goals, and fully understand the position(s) they are applying for."
What don't you like about working at GTE Corp.?
"Once outside the EADP program, work opportunities seemed less dynamic. Goal was to place engineering associates in a position with not much regard for the engineering associate's specific skills or interest - focus was on company requirements at that time."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"This was many many years ago - and likely much has changed - but listen to desires of EADP graduates for types of jobs - most were working in exciting, fun positions with placement options being much less interesting work - hence the high turnover."
