What do you like about working at Florida Hospital?

"A paycheck. Sometimes the manager and director show up to help. Usually not, we just drown while they crack the whip from home. EXTREMELY short staffed, puts patients lives in danger."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't waste your time unless you plan on doing back flips when you are offered the job (as one manager stated)"

What don't you like about working at Florida Hospital?

"This ER has 12 travel nurses, and all are counting their shifts left. It's a constant revolving door because they can't keep employees in the ER. That should sum it up."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would restructure the ER to reflect a facility that lives up to the Florida Hospital mission statement. Perhaps put someone in charge of equipment availability so that the nurses did not have to share monitor equipment with several rooms. Maybe hire someone to transport patients to their rooms when they are admitted. Send a clear message to staff that they DO care about them!!"

Emergency Room RN at BayCare Health System
in Palm Harbor, FL

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Nobody will actually listen to or care what the employees have to say."

What don't you like about working at BayCare Health System?

"They tolerate lazy workers that don't give 100%. Which means that the workers who do give 100% then have to do the work of 2 people because the management is too scared to either does not see what is happening in her own department or is too afraid to discipline these workers. So that is how it then falls on the other workers to do the jobs of 2 people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Better health insurance and salary. Actual breaks and lunch breaks working a 12.5 hour shift would be nice! Then they wonder why we have food or drinks on our desk. Its due to the fact that we don't get breaks or lunch breaks. We dont even have time to run to the restroom/break room without our phones ringing with doctors yelling where are we!!!! We've all gone 12.5 hr shifts without restroom/lunch breaks. I find this intolerable."
