"They do not appreciate their employees and that’s why good workers leave. The managers are fake nice and a lot of politics goes on. To move up you’d have to bend over backwards or be buddy buddy with the managers"

"They play favorites. Cause my manager is his brother's boss. They work side by side. Just not fair. Conflict of interest if you ask me. Shouldn't be happening."

"I've worked with Embassy since I was a freshman in college. I have stuck with my job and worked very hard to put myself through college. I studied criminal justice all while working in the service industry and not relying on anyone for a handout. It has given me a strong work ethic and taught me the real meaning of a dollar."

What do you like about working at Embassy Suites?

"I enjoy the industry. We are centrally located so we have a lot of business guests who are on the road the majority of the time. Hearing about their travels and learning new things is great."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Growth opportunity is there, just not typically at the hotel you are working at. Embassy is owned by Hilton and you can transfer from hotel to hotel in order to move up."

What don't you like about working at Embassy Suites?

"In the hospitality industry I think the customers can tell if the people truly enjoy their job. At our hotel we tend to be all work and no play. If you are having a good time at work you tend to get pulled aside and told to calm down."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Hire more staff for each of the departments. We tend to run at a minimum."

"The place is rundown and no one is doing anything about it. Week in week out I get balled out for stuff that is not my fault. I try to enforce rules that are bent as soon as a guest reaches a manager."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make sure that the staff didn't need to feel responsible for corporate shortcomings and that the staff is supported as opposed to own their own."
