4I have been employed by Ellucian for 3 and half years now. When first hired in May of 2010, the company name was SunGard Higher Education. In March 2012, Sungard and Datatel merged to form Ellucian. We currently provide services to over 2400 higher education institutions in 40 countries around the world. I enjoy what I do, which is satisfying users. I am a very dedicated, caring and accountable person.
4.8This was such a great job. My leaders saw potential in me and pushed me to grow and develop my skills and talents to meet what they needed - and I loved it. To learn and grow and fly to remote places to meet people dedicated to higher education and interview them on video - become friends, and get paid for it. Pretty great. Oh yeah, they let me work remotely from home.
The people that work for Ellucian are just as dedicated to being excellent and having fun once the goals are met.
2.3I've worked with Ellucian on the Managed Services for five years and the work environment keeps getting worse. I'm on my second manager that simply does not care about my well-being: I have medical issues that make traveling difficult, yet my manager doesn't think twice about booking me for 75% travel. Raises are minuscule and usually swallowed completely by tax hikes. The only upsides to the position is that the majority of my coworkers are great, and that when I'm not traveling I work from home.
