While Ellie Mae does have a significant Market share as a trusted LOS SaaS model, its technology is still stuck in the early 2000s with a thick client-based system. As they are making strides towards a Next-Generation true SaaS offering, it's been slow and kind of sloppy. Now that Thoma Bravo has taken them back to a private organization, they may make strides in this realm yet, but headcount reductions have left them strapped for resources."
