Electronic Repair Technician at L.J. Walch
in Livermore, CA

"I LOVE being an Electronic Repair Technician. I have always loved taking things apart, finding the problem, and putting it back together. I really enjoy troubleshooting, reading schematics, blueprints, and diagrams. The challenge I get when facing a new task of repairing equipment is something I look forward to each day. I work on TVs, computers, and other electronics on the side because I love repairing things a great deal. The only dislike is when I can't complete a repair."

Electronic Repair Technician at Aerotek
in Orlando, FL

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Okay."

What do you like about working at Aerotek?

"I liked the ability to choose the assignment that is right for me. Work and personal life are easy to balance. It is nice to get paid weekly. They normally have many assignments available."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Wear professional dress to interview. Bring a great resume. Research the available positions online before going into the interview. Accept the job that is closer to what you would like to do and hours you would like to work. Don't expect very high of an hourly wage. This job is what it is."

What don't you like about working at Aerotek?

"It's difficult for Aerotek Orlando to handle problems that come up on the job that involve them stepping in to resolve it with the customer. It is difficult for Aerotek Orlando to get you to a better assignment if you already have an assignment. You would have to quit your assignment first and hope to get hired onto the next assignment. The leave is given a week at a time at the completion of 2000 hours. This was very difficult. No raises are given or increase in benefits are seen after working two years. Lately, the recruiters in the office withhold information on new assignments. Hearing about an assignment may actually depend on the recruiter you see."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Give increased benefits after a person has worked in the company a long time. Give options to interview for better assignments after much time has passed working on a single assignment. Give leave each week. Recruiters should share information on all assignments available."
