"Ask what the pay rate is for none driving required work. They don't tell until after your hired that it is less than what your hired at."
What don't you like about working at First Student?
"The pay is much lower than the other companies and they pay you one rate for driving and another for all other work related meetings."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Pay the same hourly rate no matter what job the person is doing and increase the starting pay rate to compete with the other companies."

"Your nights were usually free, and you could keep cool stuff that you found on the trucks."

"If you're strong and not stupid, they'll hire you."
What don't you like about working at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?
"Management didn't care if you were tired or injured, the guy who runs the Davis/west sac franchise is all about money. He'll make you save junk that he thinks he can sell, and pocket it without sharing. Also, when winter comes and things slow down, they'll fire you."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Incentivize your workers. We could've done stuff like drop off metal at scrapyards or recycle pallets for extra cash that would've benefitted the company, but nobody would let us innovate."
