"No management here at any level...Japanese control everything as usual! Setup tp fail on purpose!"

What do you like about working at Sumitomo Construction Machinery?

"I like the industry, big ticket items, and easy to learn (HP & Torque!). The cyclo gearboxes was an easy sell and Paramax 9000 a big ticket item, but no product support or services provided at the plants or in field on purpose! Under designed with no mod's options at the assembley plants or in the field upgrades on purpose! All the products that were bought out thru 2nd and 3rd party offshore vendors had major defects that would not be address or corrected! So...yes they knowingly sold defective products on purpose! No product forcasting...Japanese sent what they wanted you to have...pink elephants with mis matched parts and no support or recourse to fix any of it..wehat a nightmare for the distys and customers!"

"Run!...run far, far away and spread the word here! Speak with any of their PT distributors, or any Motion Industries branches for history of atrocies here!"

What don't you like about working at Sumitomo Construction Machinery?

"No management at any level on purpose...Japanese continue to restrict the Sumitomo - America capabilites! Most of the products do not exist or cannot be supported in the field responsibly! Japanese refused to provide training for their people or their customers. I was hired to sell products and services that did not exist. I was not allowed to work with other vendors or service companies that could provide these products and services as a alliance or partnership. Japanese made sure that we failed here! So...hows all that working for you"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Leave and find another job where there is hope for success! Communication and Trust can be established working for the same business goals and objectives!"

"Excellent Company; Great peers!; unfortunately I experienced poor executive management."

What do you like about working at Hitachi?

"My peers were the best! So was my inside/customer support staff! My clients were super fun and always had a great time traveling around to support them in their own endeavors! I believed in the products. I still do! and actually wished I would have transferred into a different division - I believe I would have had further longevity with them."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Again, be yourself. Shine! and talk about HitachI in what areas of their product lines you maybe familiar with or heard about, maybe even own! Talk about their roadmap of products anticipated in the coming year; uncover with them, what's growing successfully in their markets, what's showing a slump; and what, if any, has been on back order Has manufacturing been able to keep up with the supply and demand of the market if not, what is currently the turn around on fulfilling back orders And, does this hinder quarterly sales expectations as an Account Rep - Listen to their needs, be open to rolling up the sleeves, stepping in mud, but having a willingness to sludge through and help the company continue to achieve its success. Speak fluently about your own sales strategy that works for you and how this would work for them. Is it the same or different ..the candidate who wins a seat just has to know, like any manufacturer, you are always pushing against increasing number of units and increased margins! It is a fun environment - full of challenges - and absolutely express that you enjoy this too! Express your personal pride in being a team player!"

What don't you like about working at Hitachi?

"There was not necessarily anything disappointing with the company, the products or the clients; what went awry were two C-level executives with poor professional ethics that finally caught up with them, and were later dismissed from their duties; unfortunately, much later after my original departure."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None. Hitachi's a great company! I just believe the two executives that I had an unfortunate experience with were too good at covering their not-so-great sides, thus I truly believe no one was anticipating a need to question further their code of ethics."

"They had a great stream of new products in development and everyone had a good sense of job security."

"Be very prepared to discuss your job history background and achievements. Specifically, how you made it come to fruition.They are very big into having past experiences as being part of a team, so be ready to illustrate how you were a member of a team and how you made contributions towards raising the success level for that team."

What don't you like about working at Novartis Pharmaceuticals?

"It was huge! It was very hard to network with people in the home office."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"That they had too many representative out in the field. The average specialty type doctor had as many as 8 different Novartis reps calling on him. They need an outside consulting agency to offer them ways on how to stream line their sales staff without sacrificing the effectiveness of getting sales."

"Always try to find a mentor to guide, train, and coach you to greatness. Success is achieved by those who keep on trying with P.M.A."

"I don't like the fact that they sold the division (Combined Insurance of America) to another corporation."

"Always keep your eyes open for the raw talent, the diamond talent, that can be mentored into a possible executive for Aon Corp."
