"Interesting company dynamics."
What do you like about working at Waste Management?
"Freedom to run it like I owned it. I had great contact personnel for any area I needed to ask for assistance, or get approval passed asap on productivity, financial, and other processes."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Research how many managers have been in that position in the past five years."
What don't you like about working at Waste Management?
"Too many lay-offs. I went through three downsizings within my two and half years. Mostly in mid and upper management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stay consistent when positions need to be filled. Utilize existing force so lay-offs are minimal."
What do you like about working at Kmart?
"Working in retail was a challenge. I enjoyed the challenge."

"I would suggest to view other options. The corporation is not a well run business."

"The KMart Corporation did not support their management team."

"I would suggest that more open communication is needed. Long with follow up."

"It is a company with a great culture, and they take care of their associates."

"When I worked for Exide the initial togetherness of my Branch. As I found that snakes lurk.."

"Really get a feel for what's in store. It will be a clustered fiasco to clean up as I had to."

"Subpar pay and severely over worked. You wind up running the whole business by yourself with no help. Eventually after 16-18 days for 2 month's maybe someone will extend a hand."

"Stop running your business with the Good Ol' Boy philosphy and come to the 21st century. That's why this company has filed bankruptcy and laid off hundreds."

"They did not grow the market as originally planned during initial employment sessions"

"Team environment. Everyone worked together to accomplish aggressive sales goals. I loved working with the new gadgets as well!"

"Worked like a commission environment when no one worked on commission. High turnover with Store Management."

"Your greatest asset is your people - work to develop them and they will pay you back tenfold."

"It is an excellent company. Make extremely reliable products and the people are great."

"I have spent most of my career with ASMC and was wishing to retire from this company but due to the economic conditions this was not possible."

"It is a manufcaturing company and needs to look more towards marketing to help strengthen their future."
