"The reality is that decisions are not made based on what is best for the students but what brings in the most revenue. There needs to be a balance."

"MMC supported my start in education administration. It is a growing company with a lot of opportunity for advancement. I felt the corporation provided training and guidance."

"The salary is low. The company does not provide administrative support, leaving high level administrators to busywork. Inefficient time management led to a lot of wasted hours."

"It was too much of a click at Orlando campus. If you were not accepted by the inner sanctum of the campus (those who had been there forever) you were not likely to stay long"

"At times department heads are numbers driven and not listening to students whom need to be placed in their desired programs not programs that admissions thinks is best but what the student really likes."

What do you like about working at Sylvan Learning?
"I learned a lot about office management in a private, for-profit setting. For the first time in my life I was interviewing people for employment and handling tasks of a human resources nature. In addition I wore many other hats that were clerical and administrative."

"This is different than interviewing for a school district. Emphasize your skills in helping struggling and indifferent students to succeed."
