Working at Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington, DC: 9 Employee Reviews

Defense Intelligence Agency Employee

"If you're a civilian female comfortable striving to be the token that allows DIA to mistreat the rest, you'll fit right in at any DIA location. You'll have amazing opportunities as the manager tapped to speak with disappointed female underlings to send the message that pushing back against the old-boy military network is a losing game since DIA can point to the female token pool as proof that discrimination is a thing of the past. Be prepared to wear high heels to maintain your lofty position. Tight, short, sleeveless workwear a plus."

"I worked at the Defense Intelligence Agency from November 2018 to October of 2021. To have the ability to deliver intelligence to the most senior US officials in the United States Department of Defense and State Department was an incredible experience. I enjoyed going to work everyday, and I had great coworkers. I just did not feel that the federal government was the right fit for me as a career, and while I am proud of my service to my country, I felt that this was the right time to transition into the civilian workplace."
