"For physicians Dean may pay slightly more than the other major players in town but it comes at the cost of work + personal satisfaction."

"Major disconnect between out of touch yes-man culture in management and frontline physicians. Certain physicians go into management to escape patient care responsibility + then make decisions affecting frontline physicians while rejecting any feedback. Nepotism makes it difficult to get rid of incompetent ancillary staff who have friends in management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make patient centered care a true focus of the company and not just a marketing slogan. Treat employees as human beings and not as disposable goods. Break down the silos and reduce the nepotism."

"A number of us who have left are in therapy due to working conditions. The have a very tiered management structure. You will fine yourself pigeon holed into one task. Attempts to ask what the greater role for your task for the company are met with opposition. Just go watch the movie Sicko to get a view of what bigger picture you're filling."

"Read up on employment laws. Learn to treat people like people instead of FTE resource hours."
