"Product complexity - lack of sufficient funding (spending/hiring) lead to dragged out development cycles. We got to first revenue, not first profit."

"Company was shut down when our investors shut themselves down in economic downturn. We failed to find other investors or a company exit in a timely fashion"

"Be frank. If you say you know something you will be trusted but very soon you will be discovered."
What don't you like about working at Air Systems International?
"The difficulty to raise funds to move from a pre-beta stage to a solid product phase. DoD funds innovative research, and investors join you when you got there with a few sustained quarters of sales. Meanwhile, between a finalized implementation of an innovative technology and a full product there is a gap where the moves are hard."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"A company which works SBIR programs, some technology will remain at the research level.To advance the company has to be able to focus on the most promising technology instead of diverging efforts to support all the ideas to become products."
