"I kinda worked my way into this job since my mom had a job there as an on-air radio personality. They hired me on at $9 back in 2009 and let me go to events and photograph them for their websites, newspapers, and other media formats. I got to charge for the drive, the hours spent at the event, and the total time it took for me to edit and send the completed photos. So usually 4 minimum to 8 max a day. And sometimes it was an event every night, sometimes I'd do only 1 per month, and then when I graduated college in 2012 I sorta faded out my job there. I'd get a call every 3 months or so about an event and I'd have to turn it down or go depending on my availability. So it was always PT but then it became more of a side hustle. Never got a raise but I also never asked for one. I never had any problems while working there. Got to enjoy lots of concerts and fun things locally. They really took care of me."
