"Make providing member service, being a team player, and a positive committed attitude the basis of your interview."

What don't you like about working at Costco?

"The cons include dealing with rude members, working in the heat/ rain, and having to work weekends. At busy times, Costco can be a very stressful job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Managers must work 9 to 10 hour days without overtime or bonuses. They do get a fair salary."

"The company itself is a great place, but horrible at the management level. Supervisors and managers there are not organized and they all operate on a friend/position relationship. In other words if you don't hold a high job position or have close relation you will not be taken care of."

"Be prepared with enough staff to run the show and rotate between the demanding and not so demanding positions. Also to be understanding when you are doing all that you can and cant make miracles."

"Probably the most challenging job I've ever had."

What do you like about working at Costco?

"It taught me a lot about how to interact with people. Just because I'm just selling electronics, that doesn't mean I shouldn't care about the customer. It's was very rewarding to build a large customer base that only came looking for me for assistance when they came to Costco."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be eager and emphasize your willingness to help the customers. If you can't do that, this job isn't for you."

What don't you like about working at Costco?

"Unfortunately, Costco didn't have any IT opportunities outside of Washington state so following my career choice and staying in California didn't work with Costco."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I am self-motivated and much of the management didn't prescribe to leaving people to do what they do best if it benefits the company."
