It is a forward looking company, with lots of smart people who analyze businesses and identify best practices that can be adapted by other companies for their own improvement (that is its business model). Camaraderie is very good and coworkers usually care for each other. You can learn a lot from them and from upper management. The company is expanding and globalizing, and as such, it's facing new challenges that it's just beginning to figure out how to address."

"I entered CEB by acquisition. I found the company to be progressive but the IT organization was very restrictive and tied to old technologies. The turn over rate in IT is extremely high and the organization lacked forward mobility opportunities due to a strong centralized management culture."

"There are no career paths, no opportunities and no repercussions for those that don't perform, meaning that there is little motivation for those that do."

"I would reward achievements/achievers and enforce consequences for those that don't perform."

"Get used to lateral moves, upward movement is near impossible without dedicating your life to the company."

"There is little room for career development despite an emphasis on training. There is only painfully slow movement up the ladder because no one on top ever seems to leave and the company's brass does not expand."

"Figure out how to maximize product development without wasting time on low returns on investment."
