"If you're asking about Holland Greenhouses, II really don't know what to say about them at this point."

"Management would not take my financial advice as to what to do with money. Cash flow was very poor; and was very frustrating."

"The involvement I had with the programmers, sales people and operations people was very enriching."

"They should ask a lot of questions concerning what the owners expect of them and exactly what their duties and responsibilities entail. Ask for a copy of the Job Description for the position they are interviewing for before accepting any offer."
What don't you like about working at AccountantsWorld?
"This was a Privately held Company and I reported to the two owners, a husband and wife team. Their demands of me were very different and often times in conflict."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They had a very different use and expectation of my position there. I was not permitted the independence in decision making that a typical Controller/CFO would have and they did not want me to perform traditional Accounting tasks or Financial Analysis type work. It would be in their best interest to clearly define the duties and responsibilities of the job that would match what a typical Controller or CFO would do."

"The owner trusts my skills and my opinions when he needs to make a decision."

"I started a online buying and selling system for a national company. I controlled the whole development of this phase."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management must have a vision that is communicated with all levels of personal, they have to consistent and fair to all. Management must be able to hear new ideas from personal, they sometimes have the best cost saving ideas as well as improving the overall operations."

"I like my job, it had variety. I supervised 23 staff members including Accounts Payable, Receivables, Collections, Warehouse and general admin staff."
What do you like about working at La-Z-Boy?
"I got to use my cost accounting skills. I thought a CFO would look good on my resume. This is not La-Z-Boy, this is a custom Furniture Gallery in Denver."

"Make it a practice to communicate with the owner about expectations owner/customer on weekly basis."
What don't you like about working at La-Z-Boy?
"There was always a cash crunch because the owner and the designers didn't get it. The customer has to be satisfied or they won't pay their bill.Customer service was marginal. You shouldn't have a high end furniture store in a crime ridden area of downtown Denver."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Buyers who purchase top brands don't want shoddy merchandise and they want excellent customer service."
What do you like about working at East Hampton Library?
"I worked two days per week at East Hampton Library. It is a proud, community-oriented service to community I was proud to serve. Large endowment, interesting work accounting for endowment, tax revenues, operating revenues, converting to N-F-P Accounting."
