"I really felt pretty boxed in by the government environment. Working as a contractor I had little control over my work process."

"Keep doing what you've been doing and establish credentials. Consider fixed price delivery mechanism as opposed to time and materials in order to have more control over work process."

"I really didn't have anything wrong during the month or two I was there"

"I enjoy the atmosphere at Spectralight, as well as the potential for company growth. I enjoy learning about new software as well."

"Be open and honest, even about your short-comings. The owner appreciates that a great deal."

"I wish the work was more work, and that it didn't have a seasonal element to it."

"My only suggestion would be for the owner to have policies and procedures in place now, to make things flow more smoothly when the company grows."

"Everything from the training to the coaching methods. They ensured you had everything you needed."

"None. The interview process was far and very informative. They answered all my questions."

"Not a lot of job security, I worked as a contract employee."

"As with most companies in the US I would recommend they keep their work force in the US and not out source over seas."

"It was only a 5-month contract for certifying a specific IP platform to be deployed in the Verizon network."

"It is very important to trust and empower your reporting people."

"Overall the people I supported were wonderful people. Most are pretty computer savy."

"IT dept is very small and a click. If you dont act like them you may not fit in and will be harder for you to get your job done."

"The staff I worked with were very self absorbed and not very supportive."

"Get Control of your group they arent stepping up to the plate as you see it. Alot of wasted time and resources and they feel they wanted more money. I was glad to have a job and they were wanting more money."

"Contractor roles always have the benefit of working at home, flexible work schedule, etc."

"Be willing to adapt quickly to new things. That's standard for any startup, I'd imagine."

"It's not a full-time position, which is what I would definitely prefer."

"Regimented schedules might be nice. Besides that I don't have much comment."

"Change infrastructure to have less meetings, and have more goal-oriented tasks."

"The enviroment was good as I stated earlier working with in education is always a good thing to see students achieve their potential. I is rewarding work."

"Nothing really comes to mind maybe come to the interview prepaired for the job. Be knowledgable about the position your appling for and put you best foot forward."

"My main quaral with job was the uncertainty with the program with in I was working. Each year I was uncertain if I would be working next year."

"As far a for that particular job none. There was nothing I could have expected them to do differently they have their problems that had to be solved and sometime thing dont' work out."

"It was a great chance to learn new things. I was brought in to assist with excel projects and was able to help them with a lot more."

"Don't be afraid to learn new things and expand your comfort zone."

"The drive was a little to far for my taste. It took me over an hour each way."
