Investor services remains their largest business but Computershare has expanded its suite of equity market services to include transfer agency, business communications, plan administration, and shareholder proxy solicitation. They work with public companies to track shareholder records, administer shareholder meetings, tabulate voting and deliver communications.

Computershare began in Melbourne Australia but now has a presence in over 20 countries including offices in Australia, the UK, China, Russia and the United States. After acquiring the 75 year old proxy solicitation company Georgeson , which was already an industry leader in shareholder consulting at the time, Computershare has gone on to expand its services in investor services and technology, growing its market capitalization from AU$36 million to approximately AU$6 billion in 2010.
