"Everything from the training to the coaching methods. They ensured you had everything you needed."

"None. The interview process was far and very informative. They answered all my questions."

What don't you like about working at Compaq?

"Not a lot of job security, I worked as a contract employee."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"As with most companies in the US I would recommend they keep their work force in the US and not out source over seas."

"They showed a lot of promise, and the work we were doing was very useful."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"After Compaq bought DEC they went down hill, then they got bought by HP and it slid further down hill. I would stay clear of them until they are profitable and stable like HP was in the early 90's"

What don't you like about working at Compaq?

"I was hired by Compaq as a Windows guy to help ramp up VMS people at the DEC facility after DEC was bought out. Trying to get VMS and Unix people that have worked 20 years in VMS and Unix to embrace Windows was not fun."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't try to get Unix people to conform to Windows, just lay them off and get new Windows people."
