"Extremely short-staffed and overworked in a filthy environment. They do not have proper supplies to take care of patients, I was bullied and harassed after complaining to Department Director and frankly, I was worried I could lose my license working under these conditions. Not to mention they are the lowest-paying hospital around."
"I have worked at the company for a couple months, and it was a good opportunity to learn as much as possible from this complex industry."
"The job turned into a lot more travel that I am able to do. Other than that I love the work. Also, I miss working as a part of a close-knit team, which CHS does not give that."
"CHS is a large organization with good resources but turns over employees frequently due to the culture."
"CHS is a fast growing confederation of hospitals all across the USA. They are making gains in consolidating HRIS and payroll systems, as well as driving down costs taking advantage of their size, making each property more efficient. They use a three month implementation cycle which is a most daunting run for many people."
"I worked for CHS for 2.5 years and it was an excellent experience. They treat employees with respect. I left there when I finished my MBA wanting to get into management faster and not due to anything there at the company. I recommend anyone that wants to gain knowledge and make decent money. It is not the high end compensation but it is something that will work."
"The CIO at CMHS is not a good person. Stay away from this place."
"Good company to volunteer for."
"CHS places profit above all other considerations. Local control is minimal and "corporate policy" is the standard cop out line when anyone tries to suggest improvements. CHS has a reputation of being a corporate locust... sucking up everything of value in a community and moving on. Zero respect for hourly workers."
"I have only worked for this company for a short time so I have yet to experience the work environment."
"Would not recommend working here."
"I was warned about the company by a number of people who previously worked for CHS, but I'm optimistic. After a few months I understood why each person left. Unfriendly and unwelcoming working environment that did not demonstrate much concern for others. I'm not one to discourage others, but this would be one company I would not recommend anyone to work for or with."
"I have never been apart of a company where so much relied on communication,"
