"Coaster as a company deals with a commodity that will never go out of style or become obsolete. Every home needs furniture and the low to a mid-range price point that the company specializes in helps companies reach a higher percentage of the population while maintaining their ability to turn a profit. That being said, the company has also reached a turning point in the past few years. It is no longer a family-owned business and their goal is to reach $1billion in sales. With that change came a noticeable shift in the way it treated and compensated its employees. Yearly performance evaluations yielded an almost laughable increase, with some years having no increases it at all. It makes it very hard to keep up with the rising cost of living in certain urban areas around the country. Would I recommend working for Coaster? Yes, but how well you enjoy your time there will boil down to how much you get along with the people you work for and how much you value your salary."
