"Company is No longer in business"
What do you like about working at Greatwest Healthcare?
"The ability to freely move within departments within the company; you got a really good understanding of how the insurance machine worked... on each level, through each step of the process. Invaluable in the education it provided for future endeavors."
What don't you like about working at Greatwest Healthcare?
"Glass ceiling, perhaps because employees were satisfied with their current status & situation, growth (promotion)or vertical movement was EXTREMELY limited. There just wasn't the availiability & when positions became open, it was the same office politics that exists most everywhere else. People were standing in line, working (externally) very hard for consideration of those positions."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"A third party external auditor to come in and review their efficiency, effective leadership techniques, morale (internal subculture), process improvements and realignment with end stage goals integrating innovative ideas to achieve fresh enthusiasm for achieving both immediate line level goals & working towards end stage goals. Emotional Intellegence training for all leaders, reminding them that they should model the behavior they 'wish' to see reflected back."

"It was my home, I grew up there but the Economy caused major losses, one of which was my position."

"The changes this past year, loss of premium caused job losses."

"Nothing, we had great managers and a open door policy."

"The departure."

"Aside from job advancement we were treated quite well."

"No room to really move up and beyond a title with Senior in it."

"Start encouraging and providing path for growth."

"I could work at my own speed and not feel like I had someone always looking over my shoulder."

"Just be yourself and be honest."

"I disliked having to knock your time off 15 minutes if you were only two minutes late."

"It's been several years since I worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield. I'm sure there have been many changes, so at this time I do not have any suggestions for management."

"GPA was very good to me and allowed me to telecommute as a new mother. I could never say anything bad about this company."

"My co-workers were nice to work with. The job was pretty easy."

"Don't waste your time."

"My manager sucked at her job. there was talk of people losing their jobs and everybody knew your business when they shouldn't."

"A manager should be someone who knows what they're doing, who helps when help is needed, not blows you off, and someone who deserves the title and not gets it because of family."

"Kanawha was an extremely professional working environment. Having this atmosphere for my first job was a great benefit as I was able to take what I learned there elsewhere."

"It was unfortunate that I did not get to know many of my co-workers. We all were just too busy to get to know one another and there were never any employee appreciation activities or any other platforms to mingle."

"I dislike never being given full resources to solve issues; the bottom line was to always save money and not always about giving best service for customer retainership."

"Great branch manager. Very positive and approachable."
What don't you like about working at America Family Insurance?
"Work load not distributed equally. Some adjusters would get 6 claims in a week and others would get 1 and talk on personal calls all week. The fraud team was very understaffed."

"Watch how team leaders distribute claims."
