"Great company overall I believe, however some positions you will be forced to sink or swim and don't expect to get much help."

"Sometimes no training for people in new roles, very convoluted support structure internally. Almost impossible to get assistance when you're a remote employee."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Train your employees before you put them out in the field. 2 weeks of staring at a manual with no instruction is not good for the company or the employee."

What do you like about working at Citrix Systems?

"Everybody is generally approachable. There is very little ego among management. For a tech company, people are totally r-e-l-a-x-e-d. Compared to a start-up, everybody seems slightly stoned."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"If you are a developer: make sure you your manager understands the technology they are managing. Be wary of a manager with a recent MBA who has never touched a lick of real tech trench."

What don't you like about working at Citrix Systems?

"Management discipline is non-existent--no deadlines, no accountability, no project methodology. The place is a ticking time bomb, because virtually none of its products are defensible in-and-of themselves. Product quality and customer retention suffers in this environment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Be more dynamic. Set goals. Stand up and lead. Curb the politics and the deflection and the protective den-mother a bit. Or your people go soft and wander aimlessly."

"Rather than formalities they really focus on your opened and creative way of thinking."

"I am generally satisfied with working at the company. Too bad they have budget for limited contracting only."

"I was generally satisfied and please with management approach to both work and employees."

"I am not able to find a full time position with benefits at that company."

"I would suggest to have better Linux support for their products."

"I was able to work remotely. The compensation was adequate."

"No, the interview was easy. The company was disorganized enough that if you were confident and knew your stuff 70% or better you would win a 2nd interview and probably get the job."

What don't you like about working at Citrix Systems?

"No leadership, no direction, no communication within my team. My manager was an engineer gone management and was not an effective leader. Said manager was a micro manager and would not take his hands off the wheel to let the team innovate and do the work required."

"Force some communication, leadership and/or management training on managers who manage and lead people."
