"A little top heavy in process."

"Top management needs to trust lower managers more."

"Do your research into what business group within CitI you are interviewing for. Try and find trends on layoffs and the competitive landscape for that product. You don't want to start a job that won't be around in 12 - 18 months."

What don't you like about working at CitiGroup?

"Lack of mobility. Senior and mid-level managers were almost always brought in from outside while qualified employees even had trouble moving laterally."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't lay people off, expect those that are left to do more, then give your top leadership tens of millions of dollars in bonuses. It does nothing but drag down the morale of those that are left."

"Simply having a job related to finance. Even if it's not really close to what I would like to be doing."

"Focus of sales orientation. CitI is known for its sales-driven atmosphere and team focus."

What don't you like about working at CitiGroup?

"Retail sales. I am not opposed to sales if on an institutional level. I also feel that my credentials warrant something more."

"I feel they should somehow become more in touch with the people they manage and try to gain a better understanding of our needs."

"You find some great people with great energy trying to do their very best at all times. Resources are always scarce, but if you happen to get one of those big projects that are the company focus, you can really enjoy the stress of being actually creating something powerful."

"Get to know the insiders. Network your way into the company. Credentials are not enough."

What don't you like about working at CitiGroup?

"As in any other workplace, you find some guys that are focused on putting stones in the road so they can look better by you looking worse. But thats human nature and not CitI nature. AND there is strong nepotism, specially in Latin America."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Give direction. Set limits for resource usage. And give room for people to act. Try not to be Dilbert's boss."

"I did not have any. I though our manager was outstanding."

"The company was like a family even though there were approximately 250 employees. From top management to entry level positions all were treated with respect. I felt like I could have a conversation with the president of the company just as easily as the new entry level clerk."

"Familiarity breeds contempt. Sometimes the thing you like the most about a company can also cause problems within a company. In this case, sometimes there was a lot of drama and gossip that went on because of the closeness within the company."

"I think our management did pretty well and I have no suggestions for them. The decision to close the company was made by our parent company and has no reflection on the management."

"A few of the staff managers and vice presidents treated all their underlings horribly but consultants were treated in a worse fashion."
