"I worked at Charter Communications in 2017-2019. The company is National in scope and has thousands of employees. Because it is an aggregation of multiple smaller companies, the network infrastructure is convoluted and needs extensive care."
"I enjoy working here. Management cares about their employees"
"This company is a great place to work with amazing benefits available and lots of advancement opportunities!"
"Charter is a great company to work for as far as benefits and the company pushing for you to pursue certifications and education and compensating you with bonuses or college cost reimbursement. Some of their leadership is great but the main problem I have with the company is the perception that they sacrifice compassion for humanity for the sake of policy aka "This is the company policy, you violated it so you are now fired, even though you were actually supporting your employees like a good manager and human should." Then they seem to award horrible management with promotions, or "kick the can down the road" instead of reorganizing work schedules to support healthy work/life balance for engineers working maintenence windows, even after many employees stay away from these specific departments and its hard to keep people in these positions without burning out. There are good people working here in some departments but I hear so much negativity that it can outweigh the good."
"It is an okay place to work"
"I currently work for Charter Communications. A company that, less than 5 years ago, had a small footprint in the telecommunications industry. In 2016, they purchased 2 other telecommunications companies. One of the companies was much larger than Charter. Since the merger, Charter has evolved in the way they conduct business at the customer-facing level and internally. This evolution has catapulted Charter into the position of being one of the top telecommunications companies in the United States."
"Great place to work! Great pay, lots going on and tons of opportunity to grow!"
"Charter is a cable TV company benefiting from a relative monopoly position in its markets. It will do well regardless. Much of IT management is Accenture expats. If you are in the club you will do well. If not, not so much. Tasks are generally poorly defined and need to be completed quickly. Stakeholders are generally aloof and difficult to work with."
"Weak Leadership, no understanding of the implementation, and taking a Smart Product to Market. Cable heavy executives that are extremely risk-averse. No supporting people, very much just a number in this organization."
"Spectrum is one of the fastest-growing telecommunications companies in the country. the company is positioned for rapid growth."
