"CBS Radio at the time was the number one media company in the Washington, DC area. They hired me after graduation and I worked in radio ad sales for 5 years. They had an excellent training program for new account executives and provided support. I successfully found a niche in the financial vertical and sold radio ads to credit card companies and banks."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"My tip would be to show diversity, ability to merge traditional and new media."
What don't you like about working at CBS Broadcasting?
"CBS was a true corporate enviromnent, there was no opportunity to grow or get promoted. I had 4 levels of management above me. I left CBS radio when I relocated to the West coast, the radio industry was changing and I found a new career online."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would say to stay current, look for new opportunities, learn from other industries."
