"CBS News is an exceptional organization to work for. They are now spending a lot more effort to making sure reporting (both in story selection and the people telling it) are more equitable, fair and unbiased. Their worst aspect is that they do not pay incoming employees well at all, which sets you back for years to come."

They are a good company for longevity, however I have yet found good professional management. The company does not invest in their management. So be prepared to encounter some incompetence along the way."

All energy and attention is focused on the immediate future and how to earn dollars for now."

Unfortunately the work flow and processes used are very poor and there are a lot of system glitches that impede optimal execution. "If you want the media experience, stay for three months and move on. The culture here is down and upward mobility is non-existent."

"Micromanagement is a huge problem there. Also, there is little trust between management and employees. Lies are told, promises are broken."

"I would earn the respect of those working beneath me. Right now morale is low in the office."
