The pay can be good if you get promoted quickly but, if that doesn't happen, this isn't the place to stay longterm. It can help you to launch a successful career."

"Their business plan puts a lot of responsibility on their least experienced staff members. There are few senior staff members to go to for help and they are spread very thin. At this company, the worker bees have to make sure they're pumping out quality code."

"Need more technical management. The managers in OR seem to have more technical ability than the managers in MD."

"Really, just the standard interviewing tips. Be on time, dress appropriately, show enthusiasm for learning web application development."

"The better clients are based in the west coast, although that is changing for the better."

"We should have a person dedicated to developing client relationships on the east coast. It can't be just up to the CEO to develop clients."

"I like the work environment in that we get to learn and grow in the way we want to. We are given great opportunities based on our performance and support where we need it. You get what you put into it. Work hard, and you'll come out as a strong marketable developer that can easily find work in the industry."

"If you want a way into the industry with little to no experience, this is the best place to start."

What don't you like about working at Catalyst IT Services?

"The pay isn't very good but that's expected going in. The meat of what you get from the company is experience and a career. You get what you put into it. But the pay isn't good unless you've been here a while and have enough pull at clients to bring in new work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"More feedback on performance would be nice. Just make it clear that any criticism is for the growth of the individual. More simple benefits as well. Holiday pay so we're not financially screwed by national holidays. Some paid vacation and sick days would be nice. Doesn't have to be a lot. It'd help the morale of the employees."
