What don't you like about working at Caterpillar?
"Onboarding was very unstructured and inconsistent, completely depending on who you're lucky enough to have train you. I have enough control of my work freedom, but unfortunately not enough to do! Company operates very decentralized and too much time is spent arguing over intercompany costs. Company is almost too large - inefficient with costs, labor, and adjusting to any change. As much as the company tries to recruit best talent, it is not a good fit for young professionals. Company facilities are almost exclusively located in small towns/cities."

"I hate Caterpillar because it is immoral. Rampant nepotism has killed my huge efforts at moving up and even having a career at all. No one could ever know just how I have bent over backwards for the 25 years I have worked there, always being an extra effort employee, only to be passed over by a relative of a higher up... always. Now, the ‘guaranteed minimum $3,000 a month pension I have stayed there 25 years for has been cut to $1000 a month... ensuring my feelings that I am a true fool for dedicating myself to an immoral company that has betrayed me... and, really, ruined my life."
"I’ve worked for Caterpillar directly and indirectly for 14 years and believe there are several talented people employed at Caterpillar! I believe my previous experience would add value as a team contributor! I often played a collaboration role to improve communication across multiple departments."
