"I love seeing that hope ignition go off in people and to see the community come together to help others.It is hard to see the potential in some and provide opportunities to them and they will not follow through on them. "I love working directly with the students, advising and teaching them, and thinking about how I can solve their problems and anticipate their needs. I enjoy being in the classroom and working with faculty. I like the campus environment, and the benefits are great."

"Ask for as much money as you can after your offer, because you might not see a raise after that."

What don't you like about working at University of Washington?

"The pay is lower than I would like, I wish I had more vacation, and I want to be able to work remotely 2 days per week or more, and it is REALLY stressful."

"I would welcome and actively solicit innovative ideas from me, encourage staff to find work life balance, and grant more vacation time."

"the people I work with, working with students, the design work I also get to do"

"if your work can be quantified and your hard work shows significant results then you can probably move up pretty easily"

"sometimes micromanaged, feel like our voices are heard but often ignored"

"run the school as if the faculty/staff were actually valued more than student numbers"

"There is so much outreach I would like to do and there are so many different departments to connect with. I think it falls more on the load I wish to take on rather than the company."

"I think my boss is doing an amazing job. Her passion for helping students is evident and contagious."

"Lots of talking behind people's backs, reverse racial discrimination, ageism"

"Pay more attention to retention issues, visit classrooms more often"

"I like that the job I have is very interactive with the students on campus, and that I provide a service to the population that I believe in. I am very well supported by my director and the other members of the student life department."

"Present yourself professionally and dress for the job you want. Front load yourself with information about the institution. Be prepared the interview process can be arduous here!"

"Conflict between departments can occur, and there is often lack of communication between the staff and upper level administrators."

"I would focus on each program on the Husson campus equally and engage the students early in there career at Husson. Our goal should be helping the students find their passion and supporting them through the process."

"It is a great place to start a career in education. When you are ready for the next step up in your career its time to start looking somewhere else."

"The salaries for staff are unusually low and make it difficult to manage individual expenses and have money left for recreation or vacation."

"Push the college toward growth and new opportunities and make it easier for staff to get support for professional development."

"We have amazing students and coworkers. It's a great place to work if you don't mind the low pay."

"Communication, Communication. By the time staff gets new information of a different procedure, the students already know it."

"Aiding the soldiers transfer process between states. Building a data base of the locations and soldiers."

What don't you like about working at IIF Data?

"This was a government contract that ended shortly after getting the process running smoothly."

What do you like about working at IPFW?

"The people are friendly, great benefits, prestigious within the community."

"It's IPFW, not a campus of IU or Purdue. It functions very independently even though it's managed by Purdue."

What don't you like about working at IPFW?

"It's not a nationally prestigious university, not many have heard of it. Students are often academically unprepared."

"Focus more on moving into the future instead of just managing from the present."

"There is nothing I can say that I don't about working here. I have enjoyed it so much!"
