Submit a Review"My role is very hybrid. Most BDC's are restricted to only the first stage of the sales cycle. I have the ability to work all the stages of the cycle, all the way to close. Having been in sales for 4 years prior, the natual focus on lead generation and opportunity creation becomes tedious very quickly. Fortunately for me, I have had the ability to work sales opportunities to the closing state."
"Business Development is a challenging role. The role requires you to be on top of your game at all times. I love the independent ownership of my territory and verticals that I supported. Building relationships with clients is core to the Business Development role. If I could do less admin, I think I would have more time closing deals. It comes with the territory - building your own lead database and finding the C-Level/decision makers to engage with."
"I loved the Realviz products and used them myself, so was able to sell and support them well. I liked that the French team was working and responding to client needs when I was off work, and vise versa. I liked the amount of travel (15%) required. Only negative was having to edit materials for grammar sometimes when the direct French translation was not clear in English."
